Gautam Chandra
Vice President - Business Development, Strategy, Business Process Outsourcing & Non-Utility Operations, WGL Holdings and Washington Gas
Gautam Chandra joined Washington Gas in 2002. He brings broad strategy, general management and entrepreneurial expertise to Washington Gas acquired through senior management positions in the energy and manufacturing industries. Prior to joining Washington Gas, Mr. Chandra was founder and CEO of an energy company until its sale to another large energy company in 2001.
Mr. Chandra currently serves on the Advisory Board of the George Mason University School of Management. He is a member of the executive council to the board of the Southern Gas Association, member of the steering committee of the Greater Washington Board of Trade’s Small Business Partnership, and member of the Association for Corporate Growth.
Mr. Chandra holds a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from Virginia Tech and a masters in business administration from the Johnson School at Cornell University.
He resides in Virginia with his wife and daughter and enjoys golf, travel, reading, and is a private pilot.
