Maryland Customer Choice Program
You Now Can Choose Your Natural Gas Provider.
Washington Gas is a leading proponent of giving customers the
freedom to choose their natural gas supplier. Exercising this choice could result in lower gas costs, and ultimately
a lower gas bill. Over the past several years, thousands of our Maryland customers
have taken advantage of Residential Delivery Service pilot programs that allowed
them to choose from among several natural gas suppliers. In November 2000, all
Maryland residential customers became eligible to participate in the program.
You may also choose to continue buying your natural gas directly from Washington
Gas. Either way, it’s your choice.

Customer List
To foster a more competitive energy environment that can benefit
consumers, state regulations allow Washington Gas and other utilities to provide
certain customer information (name, address and telephone number) to licensed
competitive energy suppliers. This provides customers an opportunity to receive
information that may help them make informed decisions about energy choices.
Annually, customers have the opportunity to be excluded from the
list or to have their names added back to the list if previously excluded. Please

Customer Billing Options
As a participant in the Customer Choice Program, you have the
choice to select how you would like to be billed. Depending on what billing
services your natural gas supplier offers, you may receive single billing or separate billing. Contact your natural gas supplier for details.
